 Technical Data

 Berol 260 is described as a "narrow range" ethoxylated alcohol, which means that the ethylene oxide distribution curve
 is more narrow than a standard ethoxylated alcohol.

 The proportion of unreacted alcohol is very low in Berol 260, which gives the product improved performance and
 reduced odour. This is of great importance in some cleaning operations, where free alcohol causes problems due to its  strong smell, and irritation to eyes and throat.

 Berol 260 has a very good cleaning effect on hard surfaces, and is intended for use in waterbased alkaline cleaners e.g  vehicle cleaning, engineering cleaning etc.

 As Berol 260 is insoluble in water, a suitable hydrotrope is needed in order to formulate the alkaline cleaner. For further

 Berol 260 is a low foaming non-ionic surfactant and foams less than the equivalent standard surfactant. As a hydrotrope
 is needed the foaming of the cleaner depends on choice of hydrotrope.

 Handling

 Berol 260 should always be homogenized before use, unless the entire quantity is used.
